So, What is This Plan of God?
From our present-day stance let’s look back over time and see how the Plan God has been unfolding.
By looking at Abraham we see becoming Righteous is attained by trusting that God has it all under control. This is how we find that having Faith, Trusting God, any man is able to rise above the forces of evil. In this we are not to be disqualified and receive God’s approval. You must understand that Abraham did not have the ability to overcome evil by his actions alone but that he needed God’s help by overlooking his failures and seeing his trust.
We also need to understand that when Moses gave the written Law for them to follow it did not of itself, save them from the evil forces, just provided a clear way to obedient. The Law did however make the way for God to intervene personally through the people being obedient in carrying out the ordinance contained in the Law. To explain this further, by the People of God, Isreal, following through on carrying out this Law they were also acting on their authority to allow God to intervene. They were providing stepping stones as it were for the Perfect One later to fulfill what the Law had allowed because of their obedience. More about this later.
Consistently we read through the Law that Moses gave the priests, and the people the command to be separate or special as part of their obedience. This could be taken they were better than the people of other races because they were ‘special’ or ‘separate’.
This is not what it is saying. By being separate they were to be an example of what it means to honour God who is the Owner and Creator of the Earth and He should be given the trust He deserves.
The races of people on the earth apart from the Children of Isreal had allowed themselves to become so intrenched with evil that they deserved God’s wroth. Judgement because of how they had turned away from God’s Laws. Why was God just in bring upon these nations His judgement. Because there was always a Righteous Light that He had displayed through those that were obedient to His principles.
We see time and time again how God held of His judgement in the hope that those who deserved the wroth of God changed their ways and repented. It was only after there was no way that the people would change their behaviour that God brough His Judgement on them.
We also see the Children of Isreal allowing themselves to get involved with what the people around them were doing and became disobedient and served other gods. So many times, when Isreal forgot to follow God’s clear instructions they fell back into old habits and served false gods. It must be remembered that the people of that day did not have access to Life of God in them because that ability only came after Jesus and His death and Resurrection. This is why God was so insistent that they follow closely the instructions they had received from Moses.
Let’s move on to see how we can be obedient and fulfill our destiny.
