Although the answer is simple it does need a certain committment to make this happen. If you recall I stated that I believe the family is the cornerstone of any society. If that holds true then, and if the family is not stable the surrounding community could be affected abversely. I am not saying that one family can corrupt the entire community but it will certainly have an effect on it. The main issue here is an individual or family regardless of what the surrounding environment may be can hold to its values and not be moved from them. What I am saying is a commumity can affect positively or negatively a single family because we are all likely to be influenced by others around us. The fact that an individual or family that has strong foundation that they hold to is more likely to have an effect on those around them rather than the reverse. When a family that holds to the progressive values that is so widespread today it is easy for them to shift from one idea to another. This shifting is what causes a shaky foundation because at any point these values can change. A family that holds to a Biblical World View creates an environment of stability that greatly assists a child to have a secure and healthy start. A child with this kind of start is more likely to have a more successful future than a child in a progressive home. Let's look into this a little further... Deciding to hold to a Biblical World View regarding a family does require that you accept all the basic foundational truths that comes from the Bible. It does means that we can't make these decisons using our own understanding. This to some may feel very restrictive. In fact it is very liberating. This might seems strange and contrary to main stream thinking but we'll explore this further next session.
